Mail in Thunderbird
Thunderbird is a free mail program for Windows, Mac and Linux.
- Open Thunderbird. The first time, it shows Set up your existing email address by itself. Otherwise go to the menu (☰) › New › Existing Mail Account.
- Enter your name (the name people see), your email address and your password.
- Click Configure manually. Thunderbird often guesses the wrong server, so don't trust the guess.
- Incoming server:
- Protocol: IMAP
- Hostname: mail.mailsky.eu
- Port: 993
- Connection security: SSL/TLS
- Authentication method: Normal password
- Username: your full email address
- Outgoing server:
- Hostname: mail.mailsky.eu
- Port: 465
- Connection security: SSL/TLS
- Authentication method: Normal password
- Username: your full email address
- Click Re-test. When it says the settings work, click Done.
Already have the account in Thunderbird?
If the server says mailhosting.tech or mail.your-domain, change it:
- Incoming: right-click the account › Settings › Server Settings › Server Name = mail.mailsky.eu.
- Outgoing: in the same window, at the bottom of the list on the left, Outgoing Server (SMTP) › select the server › Edit › Server Name = mail.mailsky.eu, port 465.
